CHI will provide an Engineering Solution by utilization of state of the art technology for each system that will assist your facility to maximize the reduction of the energy consumption. This will be accomplished through operational adjustments by balancing and improving the efficiency of the HVAC System i.e. heating, cooling, ventilation and behavioral changes within the facility. Generally, facilities experience an energy reduction between fifteen to twenty-five percent without compromising the integrity of the facility.

EXPERIENCE: CHI is comprised of Professional Hospital Administrator(s), Building Science and Mechanical Engineering Specialist with well over 100 years of combined experience specializing in Energy Reduction Solutions for Hospitals & Commercial Facility Applications.

INITIAL EVALUATION: CHI does not charge the perspective Client for the initial evaluation. The Client will work with CHI in providing the respective power & gas bills and if necessary the P&ID drawings & specifications, equipment review, site analysis, etc.

FEE: CHI will submit a formal proposal to perform the aforementioned scope of work with the formalized monthly fee. CHI has statistically proven that a typical facility can experience savings up to 50% or more for the gas bills and 10% or more for the electrical bills.

PROGRAM: Historical electric and gas bills are reviewed for the previous 12 to 24 months. This data is input into a Weather based Linear Regression Model to form a baseline which is compared to the baselines of model predictions of previous historical consumption. The linear regression models normalize the weather so that there is a comparison of “apples to apples”. Therefore the calculations of savings are verified on a monthly basis by comparing CHI’s energy models against the facilities actual electric and gas bills from the utility companies.

Our program is specifically designed to minimize the amount of energy wasted and provide daily feedback via email conveying graphs and consumption data. CHI engineer will visit each facility monthly or other agreed upon interval and answer any questions the facilities staff may have while looking for additional opportunities to reduce energy dollars.

IMPLEMENTATION EVALUATION
POWER FACTOR: CHI will evaluate the power bills to determine if your facility has a power factor problem and contact your electrical engineer to review the problem for a solution.

TELEMETRY INSTALLATION
If the local utilities has telemetry at your facility then CHI will utilize the telemetry equipment that convey the meter readings and transfer the data electronically thus monitoring your facility 24/7.

MONITORING EQUIPMENT
CHI will review the P&ID drawings and specifications as well as other ancillary equipment, at the facilities discretion, for proper sizing and use.

SEISMIC VIBRATION SENSORS inclusive of high temperature and velocity sensors employ a zero friction coil suspension that provides accurate and repeatable vibration measurements if equipment inefficiencies are detected, the sensor readings will provide sufficient time to proactively plan for equipment repairs and reduction of equipment downtime. Thereby saving significant cost and down time.

NIGHT SET BACK
If customer approves, CHI will assist with the installation of the night set back switches that should eliminate the continual operation throughout the non-working hours of the facility. This provides for potential elimination of 12 hours a day or more of excessive energy usage by minimizing the consumption of electric and gas throughout these off peak downtime hours.
